In this Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival, we had the joy of helping power the LMT STEAM Zone.
Together, we designed immersive audio-visual experiences, dazzling LED screens, and interactive video workshops that turned abstract science into hands-on exploration.
Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) stepped up to drive the future of STEAM education, launching this initiative in response to declining student interest and poor exam performance in math, physics, and other core subjects.
Instead of encouraging youth to study out of obligation, the goal was to spark genuine curiosity by showing the wide range of meaningful careers tied to STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The workshops used a gamified “try-a-profession” format, giving young people real-world insight into STEAM-related jobs through hands-on learning and immersive storytelling.
This initiative also carried a wider ambition: to activate long-term collaboration across sectors, positioning education as a shared strategic responsibility between business, government, and society.
For us, this project was pure joy – a spark where art and science collide, inspiring young minds to uncover the hidden magic woven into the festival’s soul.
